Owner & Executive Chef, Francesco Palmieri brings his culinary vision to his hometown of Bloomfield with The Orange Squirrel. He is proud to be contributing to the revitalization and beautification of the town.Chef Francesco Palmieri and Sous Chef, Andy Watterson are both Culinary Institute of America (CIA) graduates.
Chef Palmieri hails from acclaimed New York City restaurants including Windows on the World, Coco Pazzo and Town.
Sous Chef Andy Watterson worked with Michelin Star Chef André Rochat at Alizé and acclaimed Chefs Jacques Van Staden and Michael and Wendy Jordan at Rosemary’s in Las Vegas.
The Orange Squirrel kitchen houses an exceptional, custom-finished Wood Stone Fire Deck 8645 Stone Hearth Deck oven — one of only a handful on the east coast.
Chef Palmieri personally designed the 50 seat restaurant which features a hand-crafted bar with a “floating” limestone top. Other custom decorative accents include Italian tiles, lighting and furniture.
Chef selected wines from the menu are available for purchase. Specialty cocktails are served at the bar.
Carry-out food and wine and beer are available.
